How wearing Carolyn Bessette Kennedy’s signature style in the summer gave Sarah Pidgeon psoriasis all over her body was far from glamorous. The 29-year-old actress, who portrays the late fashion publicist in Ryan Murphy’s “Love Story,” shared a painful wardrobe mishap while filming a scene at the Kennedy compound in Hyannis Port, Massachusetts.

“When we were shooting Love Story, we were out in Hyannis, and I was wearing a cashmere turtleneck and jeans,” Pidgeon recalled in a Beauty Secrets video for Vogue shared on April 9. “I got a heat rash because it was like 90 degrees outside, and then that turned into psoriasis all over my body.”

She added, “I get it on my chest, get it on my tummy. It’s really everywhere. It comes in waves, it’ll go away, and you can always cover it up.” Pidgeon previously opened up about her scalp psoriasis in a 2024 interview with Into the Gloss.

Going blonde to play Carolyn also proved tricky for the actress. “I went in to audition for Carolyn with long, dark brown hair, and have since gone blonde, which is a whole process,” she said. “We also have to be careful because I have psoriasis, and obviously it’s quite an intense treatment, lightening such dark hair.”
