The “freezing” happened during the livestream of “Iceman Episode 4.” The stream began with an “Iceman” truck driving on the Don Valley Parkway en route to the CN Tower.

Thousands of people watched online. Hundreds more gathered at the base of the CN Tower to see the light show in person.

“I feel just electrified to see the city here,” one fan told reporters. “You can’t buy moments like this. This is the city, this is love.”

What Is ‘Iceman’?

Drake’s new album is being called a “visual album.” According to his team, “Iceman” unfolds as “a theatrical interpretation of Drake’s thoughts and experiences over the past two years.”

The livestream also showed parts of the CN Tower not open to the public – including its hollow interior and the bubble-shaped radome. Drake is even seen walking at the base of the tower’s antenna.

Drake also showcased Toronto City Hall, including the city council chamber and the mayor’s office. He was seen wearing the chain of office.

His son, Adonis, was featured in a video for one of the songs.

This isn’t Drake’s first promotional event in Toronto. Last month, he installed a giant ice sculpture in a downtown parking lot. Fans mobbed the sculpture. Firefighters eventually melted it after someone found a package inside containing the album release date.
